Good for backup best in Anti-Theft

Bought as a backup for Xterra 2008. First the blank key: my local locksmith wouldn't cut it; says that programming doesn't usually work. Took his word for it and bought one from him ($90). Check with your locksmith first. Keychain: programming without problems. The plastic housing is definitely not OEM quality. weak plastic. The battery holder on the circuit board came loose and had to be reattached. Overall a decent replacement keychain for the money.

Radio key with chip is not

So the remote controls work great, very easy to program. On the other hand the key is not in the programming, I get a "chip not supported" error, not sure if the chip is outdated or something. My programmer finds the chip and can read all the information about it, but I can't clone it. I have the Xhorse Mini Key Tool programmer. Not sure what's going on. I ordered different keys to see if they worked. crossed fingers

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Expensive

So cheap and works great

I followed the online procedure to program the remotes and they work great…. Now trying to cut the keys was another problem...so many different places to cut your own key blanks...finally found a place to cut them...and with the help of an Autel scanner was able to at my work I program them keys easily in about 10 minutes (warning: all keys, even old ones, must be programmed at the same time)… all keys start the car now… very happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great consumer product

As soon as I got them I called Nissan to get them programmed. They told me the charge would be 150.00 for each key fob and 200 for each key. (Even after I bought them here for $20) I called the locksmith and he told me it would cost me 70.00 for 2 fobs and 100.00 for each key. I went to YouTube and programmed the keychains myself and it didn't cost me a penny. I haven't cut the keys yet, but for now I just need keychains. Sooner or later I'll shorten the keys. I just hate spending all that…

Works - saves money on remote starters

Nissan Versa 2008 I programmed the key fob myself - no problem. I gave the key to the Nissan dealer. The dealer said he probably couldn't program my key. The dealer wanted $50 for a blank key. The dealer said the cost of key programming was $75. Said if he tried to program my key and it didn't work I would still have to pay $75. Since the key fob worked for me, I took the risk of taking the key. They were able to program my key so I didn't have to pay $50 for a dealer key. $50 saved. Never ask…

Great price and product

This item is great value compared to Nissan's OEM key which costs around $80. Nissan charges another $50 to program everything and after I got them I took them to a Nissan dealership to have them cut and programmed. Initially I had a problem with one of the forms and it wouldn't program. I contacted the seller and they were very nice. They provided another key by mailing it to my address. It worked this time. Overall this is a great product that will save you a lot of money compared to buying…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Negative gift
