The buttons work fine. for antivor

I bought two remote controls and two keys. Took everything to the local locksmith and everything worked fine and we are programmed correctly. The total investment with programming was about $150. The dealer wanted 300r.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • expensive

The buttons work great. in keyless entry systems

I bought 2 of these keys for a 2017 Silverado. I had it cut by a locksmith and programmed it as instructed in the manual. Both buttons work perfectly. I'm deducting 1 star because the black plastic handle feels a bit flimsy.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • some little things

One of the two worked

The GM dealer had to cut the keys. One worked, the other disabled the anti-theft device and disabled the truck. The dealer said the resistor in the key was defective. Failed to return malformed key through Revain. Both keys had to be returned which meant I had to pay to have the dealer make two more keys. Very upset. Both keys have the K2G code. Chevrolet Silverado 2015.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • There are problems

Take these keys - don't go with fakes!

Tried several cheaper keys that supposedly fit my car but found (after a cut) that the transponder didn't work. These worked on the first try. The locksmith also said the quality of the metal in these keys is better than the knockoffs and they are easier to cut. It can be difficult to find someone local to cut them, but there was a guy at my local Ace Hardware who did it the first time. Make sure you ask who is the best key cutter at your local store.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • No instructions

2016 Silverado - failed.

Chevy Silverado 2016 - These didn't fit. The dealer cut and programmed them and reset everything. They threw a key security code and all my keys had to be reprogrammed. The dealer was nice enough not to charge me for it, but I had to wait a long time there. I gave them 2 stars because they were very cheap and I can still use them to hide the key to open the door when I get locked in. You start the car, but when you stop it won't start and all the keys have to be reprogrammed.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Quick Guide

SAVE YOUR MONEY, GET IT!

Worked for my 2015 Chevy Silverado. The theft required $50 for each key. I tracked down my local junkyard and found a blacksmith who stayed in that lot. They charged me 35 for the key. The key is very easy to program yourself and save some money. I also bought two key fobs from keyless2go. They work well but have crappy range compared to my OEM key fob. They don't have a Chevy badge like the factory keychains, but they still work as intended and are pretty cheap. You can find some with theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Worked.! 2016 Silverado

After the keys were laser cut and programmed by a locksmith, the key worked as advertised. The locksmith charged us $25. I didn't want to spend $50 on both so I have an extra form in case I need it. I tried to get an offer from the dealer but they wouldn't give me one. Assuming they know that if you ask you probably have a plan B and know their prices will be higher. Programming is easy, there are videos on the net, but the car owner does it. The process only works if you have a good keyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Can't remember
