fits my Subaru Forester 20s15

that works for my Subaru Forester 20s15. $55 for a key and fast shipping. $44 cutting and programming and Miguel's locksmith in Brooklyn, $10 tip in New York and voila! $240 savings from a Subaru dealer.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Worked Great - Interior

I was hesitant to buy a non-Subaru blank but we were very satisfied as it worked fine the first time. We took it to the battery and bulb department to have it programmed. Very fast and much cheaper than at the dealer.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • High Price

Worked on my 2014 Forester; Check part number via dealer

Steps to be sure: Call Dealer with VIN/Make/Model. Ask for the keyless fob part number for this vehicle. Look up the part number to find out what the FCCID is. Make sure it matches the FCCID (CWT) listed here.

Pros
  • , good thing
Cons
  • the list will be long.

Didn't even last a year - Anti-theft

Took it to Batteries+Bulbs and they could cut and program it for $60. The battery that came with it was DOA but was replaced for free. Update: The device is completely empty after 4 months of use. The battery lasted a month and now it doesn't work at all.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not sure

Excellent quality, arrived quickly

I am very happy with this purchase! It was easily cut and programmed by a local locksmith. The dealer would have charged 3x what I paid for the blank and key for this service. Just make sure the blank style number matches the number on your original key. According to the description it fits the Impreza and Forester, but also fits the 2017 Outback.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Doubtful

Works great but call your local dealer first!

Great quality wrench and works great! and program the key first and say they were 100% sure it wouldn't work. I had to beg them to at least try, and I agreed to pay the editing and programming fee even if it didn't work. Eventually they agreed and everything works, but call your local dealer first to check!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Cheaper way than dealer

We called local locksmiths to find out who could actually program and cut the key for our 17 year old Forester. Only two in our area had a "chip programmer" to do it. The locksmith wanted $90 for the key fob and $50 for the programming. The dealer was more expensive. The locksmith was reluctant to make a key and made us pay $50 up front for the program. If the key didn't work, we were out of luck and $50. He used the PIN that came with the package and seemed genuinely surprised that it worked…

The right keychain at a reasonable price! Good service.

, I wanted an extra set of keys for our Subaru. Most chipkey duplication services cannot make Subaru keys. I checked several companies. Many thought they could, but they couldn't. Some said they could if I got the forms and they couldn't either. Some had very large expenses, over $150. Answer: KeylessOption and Batteries Plus! KeylessOption helped me get the exact key/fob for my Subaru. It was no trivial task. Many search/cross-referencing services did not determine the correct keys for my…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
