Only this case, my remote control still worked, the top part where the ring is attached was broken. The old case was quite difficult to open, but patience pays off. I decided to replace the battery at the same time. Be prepared to "tinker" with the electronics to fit them into the new case. When the remote finally shuts down, it's really good. I'm sure the new battery helped. I recommend a replacement cover.

This is the second replacement case I've bought. They work well and are easy to replace with old ones. My reason for the exchange is the failure of the small hole where the key ring goes. For some reason they seem to break after a while. I live in a plastic world I think. In any case, it's good that such a product is available in the market instead of paying some ridiculous sums at OEM dealers.

A quick, easy and inexpensive way to replace a torn key fob case. I had to replace my shell because for some strange reason the annular hole ripped. So instead of the whole assembly, only the shell was needed. Installation is easy, no reprogramming required, no electronics or circuit board included. You must transfer your original components into this case. They also come with a small metal strip for connecting the battery.

I've had this key fob for about 5 months now and everything works fine except for one. The trunk release button on the bottom of the key fob is very easy to press/push and my trunk unlocks without any action on my part. While this hasn't caused any major problems, I have found that my trunk has been unlocked 3 times in the last 5 months. For this reason I have rated this product 4 out of 5 stars. I never had this problem with my previous original key fob.

We only had one remote control for a 2003 GM car. It was old, dirty, with part of the key ring broken off and generally didn't work well. I found a YT video showing how to disassemble the remote and clean it with 99% isopropyl alcohol. I cleaned the circuit board and its contacts and put it in a new shell. I had to file the outside of the board a bit with a nail file to get it to fit properly, but it didn't make much of a difference. Connect the new case to the old circuit board and voila! Now…
