DOA - Just installed yesterday - Bad buy

Bought 2 of these fans, installed one of them 3 weeks ago and the fan started to run weak and slow but eventually started spinning on its own. The second installs but won't start. Tried all my fan heads, then outer head and nothing, no rotation. I gave him a little nudge and with some support he turned around on his own for a while and then finally stopped. Update 12/19/20: When contacting the supplier I didn't receive anything from them - I build a lot of computers and unfortunately won't be…

Really quiet on computer components

I know this isn't for its intended use, but it works great. I got this idea while looking for an exhaust fan to install in my basement paint room that would fit in an outside window. I mounted 5 fans side by side on a 1x8 with 5" holes as a smoke extraction method. Quiet, 200 CFM and cheaper than a small exhaust fan of the same capacity. Fan connectors allow you to connect all fans in parallel. - no special wiring required. Turn on the 12V x 1A power supply and you're good to go. I really…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

If you're on a tight budget this will do

If you're on a tight budget and need something cheap but decent, get this. It's very quiet. By ultra-quiet I mean absolutely silent. My computer ran at full power via the fan controller and oh my god it was quiet. I replaced my old (broken) Corsair fan with this inexpensive one. Installed a fan and immediately the sound became different. At first I thought it was disabled. I went to check why it wasn't working and to my surprise not only was it working but it was bleeding out a pretty decent…

  • There's something in it

It's a 5 for the money

If it were more expensive it would be a 4 or 3. But for the price it's a 5. That's really all there is to say about it. It's not quiet, but it's not loud either (unless your fans are on progressive ramps and sitting next to it). Personally, I wouldn't use this for anything that I know is running at high RPMs around me. . If you need something for that, spend your money and buy a Noctura or something equipped with what I think. I'm using this fan on a Frankenstein assembly made from old parts…

  • Nice to use

Quiet fans, short cable, poor quality controls

These fans are fairly quiet, although not the quietest I've heard. They also seem to have poor quality control as one of the wires was missing 1cm of insulation along the length of the cable. You don't need to do good quality control as this is how it's shipped. The cable is probably only 6-7 inches long so it won't fit your PC well as you probably won't be able to properly manage cables or even connect them. used my old dead fan's wires and attached the new fan's wires. Now that it's up and…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Poorly designed

cool color contrast and shiny look

i am very satisfied with these fans. I bought 4 and installed 3 of them. I installed one as an air intake and used the other two on the outlet cooler. I was concerned that the blades would scratch the case if either of them were in the "intake" position, but don't worry, the fans have enough room to be let in or out. They didn't come with heatsink screws, although the packaging says how much air pressure they produce. The packaging states that the maximum volume is 28 dB. When I keep them at…
