This item has been awful since I've been using it. count correctly. Then yesterday it banged. I heard when it happened. So disappointed - this is the third acrylic cutting board in the last 25 years. I think maybe the size is too big which makes the material not strong enough. Do yourself a favor and shop smaller.

I needed a flat, level surface to set it on an uneven plastic surface. I wanted a 15" x 15" piece. However, the measurements given to describe this item were inaccurate. The original piece was maybe 15" x 15", but after they bent the lip piece the flat was only 15" x 13". It really annoys me when measurements are useless. For my purpose this piece barely fits, not what I really wanted.

I've just renovated my kitchen and decided to protect my Carrera countertop with two clear plastic cutting boards. I have one to the right of the stove and the other to the right of the sink. I try not to scratch the marble or let the water leave traces of mineral deposits. I know they wear out over time. But for now I like to keep them shiny. This is the perfect solution as they are transparent and I can see through the marble without having to constantly remove it. Ideal!

This plastic countertop guard replaces the one I've had for 25 years and is of a much better quality. Although it's designed to protect the counter, I also use it as a cutting board. I always put double waxed paper on the board before I cut it so I don't cut the plastic and get bits of plastic in my food. Parchment paper would probably be your best bet, so I'll have to try that next time. Very happy with this purchase. Expensive but worth the investment. Product update: Had to return this…

I bought this board after my friends came to visit and he and his wife complimented me on my "identical" board while they were here. So just before my last visit I sent them this board in a different condition so they could have it for a party they were throwing. use to make salsa.
