    Kitchen miracle for hand blender

    The KitchenAid hand blender is a great tool for the kitchen. It's powerful, but it has caps on the end of the device to prevent damage to pots. It emulsifies vegetables to make sauces or soups. This is a very handy addition to your kitchen appliances.

    Totally impractical. Attacks soft foods almost immediately.

    I tried using it on boiled potatoes, it sticks almost immediately. Just grabbed after gently pushing down. I can't imagine mixing anything denser than BOILED POTATOES. Spend your money elsewhere.

    Chemical Smell, Prop 65 Chemical Cancer Warning

    When I opened the box, I was dismayed to see a large Prop 65 warning (advising consumers of cancer-causing chemicals) and smelled a strong chemical odor that immediately irritated my throat. It's also heavy and awkward to use as the power cord is very thick (thicker than the photos show online, maybe it's a refurbished cord), not long enough for where I would be using it and slightly in the way can be. i give it back

    Amazing and Versatile Blender

    I don't know why these tiny blades are as effective as the big ones typically found in a blender, but they are. They do everything a regular blender does. I've used it to make milkshakes, smoothies, purees, pie crust and whipped cream. I like that I'm not limited by space in the blender jug as it allows me to blend food in any size bowl. The only downside: the blades are very difficult to clean. I think I'll have to use a small cleaning brush to get into the cracks without cutting my hands.

    Good blender, bad accessories, I hope you don't need help from customer service.

    I like the mixer body and its functionality. However, the supplied protective plastic covers were defective. One was too loose and wouldn't stay on the mixer body. The second guard on the jug broke in use and plastic splinters ended up in the drink I was mixing. The KitchenAid customer service phone line is occupied continuously for several days with customers who are more than 30 minutes late. The live chat line again waits over 30 minutes only to get disconnected.

    Great powerful blender

    As expected from KitchenAid it's well built, powerful and easy to use. It's more than expected, but that's ok. One issue is that I noticed that after use, washing (leave in a glass of soapy water) and drying, the blending blade assembly would continue to drain water while the blades still remained in an upright position. Apparently water seeps through the shaft and then drains slowly when stored upright (fins down). In other words, there isn't much sealing around the blade shaft just above the…

    Finally a good one!

    We had a kitchen that worked for about 14 years but eventually died. I use mine several times a week so it gets a lot of benefits. We bought one as a replacement and I realized how spoiled I was because the second wasn't as good as the first. We bought a third whose nylon gears wore out within three months.     Love this blender for quick healthy meals

    Blends great and is easy to clean. I use this hand blender for smoothies and soups. I don't mix stuff too hard so the blades will last longer. I learned my lesson with my newest hand blender. I used dates, which were a bit dry and hard, in my smoothies. I bought this blender, I will be careful with it.
