I feel like a lot of these recent reviews are stuffed. Every negative review has the same problem as me. The settings are by no means smooth and it's awful to clean. Clumsy, doesn't fit in some jars. I would rather use 5 separate scoops and save time.

Is it reliable? - Yes. Is it easy to clean? - Yes. Is it easy to use? - In something. What it isn't: Smooth to use. The sliding part that lets you switch from TSP to TBSP is really clunky and a bit annoying. The sliding part is designed to be easy to clean, but its silicone part makes resizing difficult. I have used other similar products for less money with more ease. Would NOT buy again.

I've been using the same measuring spoon for many years. I bought it at a specialty store and haven't seen it since. This is a fabulous product. The same spoon is used for all ingredients. With this spoon I now have one for dry and one for wet ingredients. It is an excellent product that provides accurate measurements and is essential for all bakers and serious cooks. I used to have a similar adjustable shovel that I lost when moving house. I bought this for my restaurant thinking it was the same. That's not entirely true, although visually it's almost identical. As another reviewer pointed out, the adjustable part is VERY difficult to move. I found it more efficient to just snap the plastic piece off completely and snap it back in the size I wanted, rather than trying to move it as intended. I gave it 4 stars because there are scratches in the scoop area. I also have a scoop and it was smooth and great. I think it's very handmade and has multiple measurements but I was disappointed that it had scratches. For the price it's not worth sending it back and getting replaced. I have read the reviews and I totally understand where they are coming from. I would like to start by saying that the product is not suitable for those with poor grip strength or those with arthritis. You need to forcefully push the black part forward and pull back. If this is a problem for you then follow the advice of several other reviews and do not purchase the product.
