I don’t know how you can ship a dangerous object with the worst packaging ever! I opened the revain bag and the knife slid right out of the box it came in and had no safety or anything on the blade! Knife slid right out of the packaging and landed on my toe and cut. Not to mention the knife was extremely dirty with black dirt and residue all over it and a rust spot!

From the moment I opened the box I could see the quality of this knife. When I picked it up and held it I could feel the balance, the carefully crafted handle is a nice weight and nestled into my hand comfortably. This knife is made for professionals and easily compares with some of my other knives made by a well-known Japanese company. Firstly, this knife passed the paper test with ease.without a thought to the matter. No pressure needed, and the cut was true and razer sharp. This is one seriously sharp knife.While this knife has an 8in blade, the tang is rather long. So this is hands down my new favorite knife.After using it I'm amazed at how sharp it was right out of the box. The quality is amazing and you can see the Damascus is not a fake imprint like it is on other knives.I also really like the weight of this knife and the balance it has, and the handle is comfortable hold when you are slicing and dicing.I would highly recommend this knife!

This Nakiri/cleaver (it could be considered either) is great for the price, a real bargain. It’s quite sharp, as indicated by a paper test (see Google). I don't know what type of bones they were chopping-- must've been rubber bones or something cuz mine didn't held up. Edge has been dented, crooked. No good for splitting bones or any type of bone chopping as advertised.

Rust formation on upper blade after first wash. Otherwise, ergonomic and good balance while chopping and slicing. That's my feedback!

Feels great in my hand, nice balance & weight for this Nakiri. There is an excellent taper from the handle to the blade making it comfortable to have my forefinger on the blade shaft. I sharpened it a bit after a testing a few slices, liking my food prep knives extra sharp.

So far I am loving the Kitory Line. This is my second knife I bought from them and the first one was nice and sharp and held its edge so far. I'm always apprehensive buying knives on revain but I've not been disappointed with these guys.

This is a pretty good knife. It's got some nice weight to it yet not heavy. I got the 7" because I already have a 8" Japanese knife. It's a decent price too because authentic Japanese multilayered steel knives are in the range of 200-500$.It's a good deal for a quality knife.

This is a great knife! It passed the tomato test for sharpness. The blade may be prone to rusting if not properly maintained. It has a great balance to it and looks good too!

Love the size, weight and shape! Blade came already sharp (which is good because I don’t know how to sharpen it). We use this now for cutting everything. The only other knife you need in your house is a butter knife. I definitely do not recommend this knife to spread butter on your toast!
