Would give 5 stars if I could attach the stand to the balls on the brackets. All brackets and mounts appear to be well made and have a good finish. I wish I could use it.

I like the product. It was easy to install except for the shock! I had to use a hammer to hit it on the round balls. Once I did it, it works 👍. Recommended for truck owners. Opens gently.

Took about 10 minutes to install with the right tools listed in the instructions and works like a charm! Nice quick improvement and the company emailed me with instructions which was a surprise!

Works as it should, the only thing the instructions don't say is that you have to put on the plastic sleeve that comes with the kit, right where the cable connects the back Door to the truck rotates. I suggest using some small zip ties to keep it in place. Otherwise the tailgate will not close.

There is a strut on the side of the tailgate that blocks the plunger and prevents the door from closing. Due to the very hot weather I did not install until 08/17/2022. The deadline for my return was 07/23/2022, so I am not included in the price.

Guide is confusing but I figured it out. I thought it didn't fit my truck but I was wrong. It fits my 2018 Dodge 2500 perfectly. The top is easy to assemble. The bottom or tailgate connection goes through the empty hole which is near the pivot point of the tailgate. Insert the insert and use a wrench and hex key to crush the insert. (A kind of drywall anchor). Then remove the screw from the flat insert and screw in the lower ball joint. Plunger in and done. 5 minutes, works fine. Time will tell
