Much better quality and better performance than the old Ideal RG6 compression connectors! ADVANTAGES 1) The nut on these small compressors actually turns much easier. 2) I like the yellow color as it makes the connector stand out more easily in dimly lit areas. CON1) I still strip most of the jacket, 1/8" to 1/4" more than specified to allow for reasonable lengthening of the copper core on the custom end of the connector. 2) The sleeve may still be over-compressed, causing the sleeve to…

Easy to use and works with quad shielded cable.

They are great for DIY enthusiasts. I bought a "own" DirecTV receiver to bypass DirecTV's hardware fees and add another TV to our house (you still have to pay an additional subscription fee). They worked great and even DirecTV thought they looked good and didn't replace them when we had problems with another receiver. I've also used them to install an antenna in the attic to later replace DirecTV and so far they've all worked on the first try. The quad shielded cable fits a little tight, but it

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Almost never

These are great connectors, well made and I'm sure they can handle a range of cable sizes well. What didn't stand out at all was that these are *not* externally crimped connectors, but should be crimped linearly (along the cable axis) with a small tool. Or in my case because I had 10 of them and no tools, two pairs of vises and some curses. Sigh. Would it kill you if you dropped the flaming crap "These are the best plugs in the world, no, they are gold and your life will be incomparably better"

Works for RG-6Q in AV accessories

I made 10 cables (20 ends) with them today and they match the RG-6Q perfectly. I have a Southwire compression tool that looks identical to the Klein version (VDV212-008-SEN) except for the brown color. These connectors combined with this compression tool and Klein's stripping tool (VDV110-095) made the job very easy. If I didn't have other tools, I would buy a Klein Combo. I believe that when the price difference between high-quality instruments from well-known brands and nameless things is so…

Definitely worth it

I tried Ace Hardware's RG6 Quad Shield compression connectors before purchasing. I couldn't mount them to the cable no matter what I did as they were 2 sizes too small for the cable performance and the overall construction seemed very cheap but I digress, this review is actually of these connectors and they are from God sent ! They fitted easily onto my RG6 quad screen cable and attached with little to no fuss (using a flare tool made it easy but not really necessary as they seemed a bit…

OH YES YOU WANT THIS

Sex is great but have you ever had a stud that slides *so* well and curls *so* hard that you feel like a pro feel? We face many decisions in life. One such option is which coaxial crimp connectors to buy. There are other connectors where you have to fight them on the cord like you are trying to feed an angry anaconda and you can get little tools to help you insert the connector and read forum threads about people sharing their favorite tricks speak. Or you can get them and they glide like…

Best thing I've ever used

I can't stress enough how good these things are. I have used several other barrel compression connectors before and they have all been absolute killers in my hands. I had to slide them into the ends of the cables with such force that I couldn't get past 4 terminations before I had to take a break. And I was always worried about not damaging the cables. But these small connectors are perfect. They just slide on so easily and then I really only have to press once with the tool to finish, but I…
