Looks great on my FA Trail Devil '03

Looks great on my FA Trail Devil '03. I needed a new chain and was looking for a colored one. This is the chain that came with my bike in 2003 so I bought it. it looks cool People who have problems with Master Link just don't know how to install it. It is actually quite simple. When you connect your chain to the post, simply sit down on the other side from above, hold it with your thumbs and bend the chain slightly towards you and it should snap onto both posts. The same way to remove it. Rides

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Available in black only

A little work on resizing and now it works perfectly.

Was cheap and works great. However, for my 18 year old girls on the bike, we had to make it smaller. My husband gave up after trying to break a few links and said I bought the wrong size and we needed to get a new one. I turned to YouTube and finally found a YouTube video on how to make the chain smaller. Luckily we had a 2x4 piece of wood, a drill and bit to poke a small hole in the wood, and a tool and hammer to knock out the middle of the piece of chain to make it smaller. Once that wasโ€ฆ

Good replacement, best drive train components

Upgraded an old Schwinn single speed bike for my wife to ride occasionally and it added a nice touch of colour. coverage in areas. Note that this chain requires measurement to fit your bike and a "chain tool" to break. The included "master link" requires you to bend the chain sideways to install. it holds up well there. A standard "Master Link" would make life a lot easier. I can't say anything about durability as it only lasted a month and my wife drives occasionally. Don't know whatโ€ฆ

Powerful and easy to install!

I am restoring a Haro BMX bike and needed a cheap but good quality chain. I have used KMC chains in the past and have always had good luck with them so I decided to give it a try. To install this circuit you will need a circuit breaker. It comes with a Masterlink, but you still need to trim the chain to the right size for your bike. I recommend buying high quality chain tools like those available from Park Tool as the inexpensive ones are sometimes even capable of breaking such a high qualityโ€ฆ

Cheapest 1/8" bike chain! If you are unsure of the width of your current chain, use a ruler to measure the distance between the inner plate sets of your chain. The usual chain width is 1/8" or 3/32". Typically, purpose built single speed/fixed gear bikes use 1/8 chains, while single speed bikes converted from geared/derailleur bikes use a 3/32 chain. Using a 3/32 chain on cogs designed to fit a wider 1/8 chain results in very stiff operation This KMC chain came with a master link andโ€ฆ

Extremely durable for drivetrain components

Bought this chain almost a year ago as a chain replacement for my '58 Raleigh Sports and have not found any defects yet. This thing drives over 60 miles a week during the school year in the rolling hills of Ann Arbor. I only lube them occasionally, and I'll admit I'm not that good at regular chain cleaning (do you think I might have done it twice? Oops), but I haven't noticed any stretching or excessive wear yet. For the price and what it is I think this is a very good chain and I will beโ€ฆ
