This waterproof converter regulator transformer is an excellent addition to any DIY mechanic’s toolbox. As my tests showed, it’s easy to install and incredibly accurate in converting voltage. It’s also compact and durable, which means it can weather the tough conditions of a garage or shop. The only downside is that it might be a little pricey for some hobbyists.

Originally gave a bad review as the first one was defective. The seller contacted me to resolve the issue of a replacement immediately, but I had already ordered a replacement and initiated a refund from Amazon. The exchange works great. I liked that it is small, light and waterproof. It worked great for a few months and suddenly stopped. Not sure why. It will get wet but should be waterproof. I had to shorten and solder the wires. Maybe the heat damaged them because of the solder. The included LED kept blinking on and off the day before going offline. I may have overloaded it but they draw less than 1.5A so I put 2.
