fast delivery for hand tool

Too early to talk about longevity or durability just started using them. I just started forging knives and using them to clean and sharpen blades.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Very secure attachment

I like the corner rail so far. A very simple concept executed very well. It easily attaches to my belt sander. I'm just getting used to sharpening bevels on homemade knives. That is a big help. Excellent work.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Not bad

Cute little accessory that's great value

Very easy to install and use. I like that it shows different angles for installing different tools. A nice addition would be a list showing the angle used for each tool (e.g. scissors, chisel, axe, etc.)

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expandable

Ideal for sharpening knives

very easy to use, solid construction and good grip on the sharpener. Makes it easier to get a constant angle on the edge. Happy with the product. A softer surface on the sliding surface means fewer scratches, but that's not a big deal.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • old

Straps are great, corner tracking not so good

Straps are good quality and work well. I cannot adjust the angle guide close enough to the belt surface to evenly and accurately sharpen small to medium width knife blades. And the design of the guide requires sharpening against the rotation of the belt sander, which requires care to keep the belt from catching the blade.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Fits

Works great, corners are clearly visible, easy to use.

Failed to load media. The angels on mine are very easy to use and turn a 30x1 belt sander into a knife sharpening monster πŸ‘πŸ» good value for money to use the 30x1 belt sander again if you have a variable speed model. I'm sure you'll love it even it's over. I'll probably just buy another sander for this part, or get another and a sander to use just for planing and a variable speed sander for edge trimming.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

The main downside of this stylish sharpener

There are YouTube videos that make this look easy and it's really better to have one for a belt sander than not; However, remember that if you are making longer or larger blades, keep the blade flat to within 1 square foot. One inch at constant speed and light bevel pressure requires more technique than I expected. Also, it scratches the blade. For me and the occasional kitchen knife I sharpen, practice is not enough. Unfortunately I now want to throw away the entire belt sander setup. I got a…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • A bit crumpled

Not very good for sharpeners

Hold up the blade to sharpen. Regular sandpaper will do, but no leather slings as instructed. Why no skin? It cuts into him because you're essentially driving the blade into the skin. Of course you can finish the sanding belt part and then remove the guide to use the leather belt, but then your angles will only be approximate. Anyway, I've never seen a vertical belt sander that rotates. I guess because it would be dangerous to throw things in your face, right. I didn't just give 1 star because…
