Great for everyday use

I bought these pliers to replace the pliers I carried in a holster for a year before I lost them in the field. I knew I couldn't go back to anything other than Knipex. They cut every wire I came across with ease, they even cut class 5 5/16 inch studs without dulling them at all. They are worth every penny and the high leverage design makes them easy to use. Don't lose them, they'll last a lifetime. These are the best pliers money can buy.

Pros
  • Easy to use and design with guaranteed quality
Cons
  • There are new competitors

My Favorite Pliers/Cutters

I really can't say enough good things about these pliers. I don't even know how many people I've recommended them to and I'm sure I'll be recommending them for a long time. I've used and abused these pliers and used them to cut everything from thin wire to nails and screws and they just kept working. They still open and close very smoothly, even after being dropped a few times and occasionally used for casual percussive adjustments. After a few years the jaws are still holding up damn well and…

I wanted to love these pliers so much.

I'd like to start by saying the fit and finish of these pliers was near perfect - a really nice tool that I was proud of. But the other day I used these Knipex pliers for the first time to pull out some 1 inch nails that were left in the wall after removing some panels. After pulling out 15-20 nails, I noticed how much the jaws of the pliers wear out. I was very disappointed because I heard so many good reviews about the quality of Knipex and I was very proud to try them. Now they can only be…

Soft cutting blade. Useless Guarantee

I liked these pliers. I usually prefer small, but I couldn't find a good 8 inch pair of pliers so I did some research and settled on these. I was very happy until a hole appeared on the cutting blade where I cut the wire after only a few years of use, not every day. I am the only one who uses them and have ONLY cut 14 and 12 gauge Romex copper wire. The big disappointment came when I contacted Knipex to try and use their 'lifetime' guarantee. They got back to me very slowly, and after sending…

This is the Knipex among power tools and hand tools

This Knipex is NOT SMALL! That way none of the grins can open the tool to get to work, and buddies suggest you put sand in your tool. These guys get it right from the start! Small details such as a larger distance between the pen and the edge of the tool, clean cut surfaces and a high-quality matte finish make this tool stand out from the rest. The high effort just means they lengthened the handle and added a nice ergonomic approach to the metal. If you work a little harder with each iteration,

Pros
  • Each tool is tested and tested under real operating conditions for durability and functionality
Cons
  • Very expensive
