This little end mill cuts like butter and stays sharp for what feels like an eternity. The only downside is that they are even more fragile than their larger counterparts. I had a washer in a collet and it cost me about $1 for every second I made of it. Ouch! The manufacturer is not at fault, so the stars are not removed.

I can't say enough good things about this item. I bought this just in case I could use it to drill out a broken screw extractor with a parting tool. After some careful, slow cutting, it went through about half the broken hardened steel of the screw extractor and was as sharp as it was when bought. Will definitely be used for similar tasks in the future.

First, you need a very rigid setup to run this thing. I broke mine on a drill press because I have a slight wobble. After snapping off the tip I roughly sanded it and was able to cut through a 3/16 file I've been trying to work on for days. The high speed and pressure worked great, I drilled 4 holes, looks like it has many more holes. In general, the material from which it is made is of very high quality.
