They are so fragile. Tried to mill 1/4" 6061 they dulled fairly quickly and broke early. After reading more, for aluminum it is better to use a single-edged end mill. If you don't want to mill too fast, I'm sure it would be great for wood projects.

I am new to CNC and have just built a small CNC milling machine. I really didn't know what to expect from these beats. These beats exceeded my expectations! Kodak makes very good hobby tools and general practice products for professionals. It's not as pretty as their five flutes, but still good. Five flutes make the piece smoother and cleaner, but four is pretty standard and will do the job just fine. I noticed a certain brittleness in the carbide versions. So be sure to mount your material on the router first to ensure not only can you cut it cleanly, but you don't have vibrations that can ruin thinner parts.
