I've been eyeballing leather messenger bags for months trying to decide, stunned by the reviews of some bags, in particular: bad-smelling leather and it took me a while to finally settle on this one. I really wanted one that would fit my husband's 17" laptop. I also wasn't sure if he would want to use it with a strap all the time or not not so I was looking for a long and hard removable strap which this one does NOT have.But it met my criteria in every other way.Now I personally see you can put

I bought these to use as a briefcase to carry various laptops ranging from 16.4 inches to just under 17 inches wide, comfortable fit, with at least an inch or more headroom on each side worthy of this feature. Advertised Capacity, 5 Stars If a potential buyer is looking for the equivalent of a machine built straight off the assembly line, this is not, and is not intended to be, such a product. Ammo function gets 4 stars due to minor imperfections (a) top open inner pockets without zipโ€ฆ

Excellent briefcase for storing a laptop and other work items.

I needed a briefcase for my laptop and papers on the way to work. I didn't want to buy a briefcase. I wanted to buy one that would last a very long time so I went with this one. Everything in this portfolio is exactly what I wanted. There are so many pockets in the briefcase and inside the briefcase there is a divider with an extra zipper so you can put even more things. Happy as a clam at high tide!

I just received my bag and they weren't kidding. It was free same day shipping. Thumbs up, Revane. The bag is beautiful! But I have to say I was very upset by this claimed "strong odor" and then nothing. Doesn't smell. Being from Texas, of course I know how skin should smell, so maybe I'm immune. To all the townsfolk whining about this, I bet the bags smell better than some poor animal they've now deodorized ;) My bag is in perfect condition with no visible flaws. Exactly like in the photo.
