World's first zoom range of 24-105mm. High-precision, built-in distance encoder supports ADI flash metering. Circular aperture for more natural-looking backgrounds at wider apertures. Great Lens for Versatile Photography

This lens is fantastic for those wanting to capture a variety of shots. Based on my observations, the autofocus is incredibly fast and accurate, which is great for those looking to shoot action or wildlife photography. Additionally, the 24-105mm range provides a good range for both wide-angle and telephoto shots, making it a versatile lens for different scenarios. The only downside is the slightly slower aperture, which may not be as suitable for low-light conditions. Nonetheless, a great piece

Pros
  • Sharp and clear images
Cons
  • Narrow aperture at telephoto end may limit low-light performance

Great lens for walking

This lens gives my KM Maxxum 7D good shape and versatility. Not as fast as 28-75/2.8, but very nice to have the extra "length" of 105 versus 75. I would recommend this lens.

The best everyday lens for your Sony Alpha DSLR

When I bought the Sony Alpha 200 I liked everything about it except the lens that came with it. The 18-70mm lens takes decent shots, but it feels light and plasticky, and the overall zoom length just doesn't cut it. I don't use a wide angle lens as often as a telephoto lens, so this was definitely a bad lens for me. So I set out to find a good general purpose lens for everyday use. I tried the Minolta 50mm f1.7 and it's great for low light indoor shots, but not as versatile as a zoom. The most…

  • One year trial
