This block works quite well. I was walking out to start my truck one morning when I turned the key, no click, no crank. I turned on the light - nothing. I connected the charger to the battery and let it run for 4 hours. The charger didn't show me any error codes. So the IKnew battery was still good. When I ran a CCA (COLD PLANT) TEST WITH THIS TESTER IT TESTED WELL BUT AT 250A IT DOESN'T REACH ITS CCA RATING OF 800A. THE BATTERY IS ALMOST 5 YEARS TIRED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

I immediately liked this gauge. Easy to read, smooth firmware update from website, easy to use. So far I've tested my motorcycle battery, car batteries, and a few small toy car batteries. I think the readings are correct. I compared the voltage with a meter with the same results. I believe the cca readings are correct based only on the age and wattage of the batteries I tested. I like how this battery tester/reader works, but I have an issue I'm not sure about yet. When I mount a battery reader to lead posts, I get higher (better) readings than when I mount them to threaded steel posts. My question is the reader or the battery. I have brand new (1/21) and (11/20) 12V Deep Cell Marine batteries for my RV and am getting SOH 88% (low), SOC 98% with 4.50 resistance readings on lead terminals MOhm. I followed the instructions and downloaded the "BTlink” software from their website. Since it was a .ra file, I had to download an unzip tool to unzip the software. Windows had security cows when I tried to download the Konnwei software and after that I ran a few virus/worm scans and nothing seemed to download to my computer. I tested this gauge on 2 cars and 4 standard cast iron batteries. Seems to be 1% accurate compared to my Fluke and O'scope gauge. Mine shows a constant low level of 0.05-0.07 volts which is good and quite amazing given the price. The reported ripple matches my oscilloscopes, but there is no voltage grid in the ripple waveform display on this unit.
