The course is excellent. Not Great

So 600 grit is my favorite. But the good side isn't really 3000. Less. maybe 1500 or 2000 something. And I don't like the feel of my knife gliding across a 3000 grit surface. I don't care because I have a 6000 grit rock, but maybe someone will find it useful.

Works like a brick.

A simple and straightforward traditional sharpening stone. It's easy to keep the stone moist and works without too much trouble. Tried three small sharpeners with gizmo holder and just not comfortable. Allows processing of the entire edge, especially curved parts such as B. a paring knife. Easy to clean. The blade is easy to sharpen and allows you to really sharpen the knife.

Great for the price but be prepared to be leveled right away

For the money I can't argue with this stone. Feedback, handling and feel are pretty good. I only have two complaints; Signs of wear on the 600s side and condition of the stones when the box was opened. Each side was severely deformed and required a tremendous amount of leveling effort. But once that was done, it was great.
