Krator Black Luggage Rack for Honda Goldwing GL1800 Models 2001-2016 - Cargo Travel Trunk Mount - NP019-B Review

Luggage rack was cheaper than the leading competitor. Had to shorten the length of the screw as others have said. No instructions or template are included so you will need to mark and drill the holes yourself. The legs didn't match well with the chrome spacers as the black powder coat was too thick to fit inside. Otherwise ok.

If you're lucky enough to get the stand in good condition, it looks great on the GL1800, looks solid and reliable and is a great price. But in my case I ordered twice and had to send back twice. The first had deep scratches, allowing the aluminum to show through the black powder coating. The second had deep scratches and the black powder coating was bulged in some places.

The manufacturer must have heard complaints about the screw length as my screws were 1 3/4" which worked great. Take extra time to stretch your legs. so they fit in the holes you are drilling. After a little struggle to make up for mine, they dressed really well. I hope the wide leg bases spread the pressure enough to keep the barrel from tearing. The time will show.

Nice fit and finish but no instructions. So, put tape on the trunk where the assembled frame and "legs" will attach to the trunk. Draw circles around the base of the legs on the tape. Remove the stand and legs. Use one foot and center yourself inside the drawn circles on the tape. Use the pen and draw in the drilled hole in the legs in the middle. I have a black 2015 GW. Love that it's in black. As others have said, the risers are chrome plated. I took acrylic paint and painted from a spray can. The screws that came with it were actually too long. There are some #10-24 x 1-1/4 screws. It took a while to get the tape in the right place. You can make a pattern like this. Bought a similar pick from the same manufacturer and it didn't fit our 2016 Goldwing. sent back. I later found this one which is a little different, the legs are at the right angle and it fits perfectly! However, the screws are almost 3/4 inch longer, so don't make the same mistake I made trying to attach them because they don't fit. Just buy some 1 3/4" and they work great. Also the base is chrome plated. Mine was painted black and really improved the look as chrome and black don't look good…
