🔪 Crosscut Station by Kreg Review

An extremely useful tool at a great price. With the addition of a cordless circular saw you have a portable miter saw for cross cutting up to 2x6. It assembles quickly and offers some precision adjustments with guides. I'd like to see some sturdy mounting holes to attach it to the trestle, but there are easy fixes for that. It also increases safety when working with a circular saw.

Precise cuts at 90 degrees, I haven't tried bevel cuts yet. The reason I only give it 4 stars is that the rubber feet on the bottom of the mount don't stay in place. They fall out every time I pick up a device. I'll try a 5 minute epoxy to see if it holds them in place, but I'm not sure the epoxy will adhere to the rubber very well. If Craig can solve this problem I'll happily give it 5 stars.

Used as a cross-cut slide for my circular saw. Easy assembly, the product is accurate, versatile and very easy to use. Also their customer service is EXCELLENT, polite, professional and very responsive. The original product I ordered had a manufacturing defect. I called Kreg and they immediately sent me a replacement, FedEx it and got it the next day. Can't say enough good things about how responsive they are. They stand behind their product and are proud of it. That means "made in America" and

Tool does the job but I expected more from Kreg. The main cons I had: I had to pinch it making it bulkier than it needs to be, the little rubber feet are useless and some of them fell off. - Although the station can cut wood up to 2" thick, the included mini clamps are limited to 1" thick wood. So if you are cutting 2 inch thick wood you will need 4 clamps (2 for the station). a circular saw from the table back and forth to the station. After 20-30 cuts my back pain was over.

Safe, accurate and generally good design but the product has serious design flaws when it comes to cutting long straps. The capping station is made of high-quality plastic. I can't tell if the plastic will last for years, but it seems good enough. However, the plastic is too flexible and the station has no attachment points - and the lack of these becomes even more of a problem when the support wings are opened, minimizing the area that could be used for attachment. I usually cut 2X5 or 2X2…
