The head of the screw is easily removed and uses a unique bit

As a longtime Kreg customer and fan, I was very disappointed with this system. Especially with deck screws, the heads use a unique screwdriver that can be easily removed. This resulted in the failure of 1 bit contained in the screw bucket and 1 bit contained in the bracket itself. I couldn't finish my deck project with these screws because I couldn't find a replacement. Now I'm left with a bucket of unusable screws and the added expense of replacing the screws. I will not recommend this screw…

Not like before

I bought 5 packs of these screws. I had no problems and really liked these screws. I found I could keep the driver that came with it because everything worked so well I never rounded the screws. This enabled me to work very quickly and efficiently. Didn't get a new box today. The head was slightly larger on most bolts, causing it to get stuck in the jig and round off quickly. I rounded up a new screwdriver bit after 15 screws and now I'm struggling with each screw to get it in. I am very…

Heads come off easily and screws are brittle

Heads come off easily and screws are brittle. The special drive used for this head is worse than Phillips for stripping. I didn't use tool screws to just install 2 x 6 decking boards. They seemed to work pretty well until I had to remove a few boards to fix a hidden problem. The heads slipped off when I tried to unscrew them. I had to lift the boards up and then drive the screws through the boards from underneath. Then I could usually unscrew them without removing them. Sometimes I had to knock
