Great castle, but insanely clunky and heavy.

Excellent lock but insanely bulky and heavy. Def isn't what I was looking for - had to send it back - but - if you need a serious blocking system - this is a great solution - just not for me.

Cons
  • weak

Seems to work well for bike locks

This is a basic chain lock. It's good for the price ($28). It's not the thickest you can find. The label says it has a 5/10 safety rating, so it's not the safest either. The key in the lock turns easily with no problems. I ended up sending it back because it's longer than I needed.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Some cons

One of the best locks

This is a very secure lock, it's a bit heavy, but I recommend using this lock as a complement to another lock. Let's face it, if a thief wants your bike, they will find a way to get it, but this lock will make the process that much more difficult. I will say that kryptonite makes very good locks at reasonable prices.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • There are problems

Avoid this castle! - Locks for bikes

The bike was easily stolen from my locked garage. Not even metal shavings on the floor or anything to suggest it was difficult to remove. I contacted Kryptonite and even though I signed up and did everything right, they didn't respond and didn't honor their "guarantee". A very expensive bike was lost because this lock could easily be severed. What a terrible company. I will never do business with them again.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great design, best in accessories

It's obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the design of this lock. The holder is great and I love that it attaches to your existing bottle cage. They could have stopped there, but they also incorporated strong Velcro straps to further attach it to the frame. The lock slides in and out of the holder easily, and after a few vigorous rides I'm sure it will stay there securely. This is NOT a high security lock. I use it to secure my under $1500 bike from Starbucks while drinking coffee…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Strong but bulky and heavy

I am a fan of kryptonite locks, they make amazing products. I bought this lock specifically for my commuter bike. I wanted a good, secure lock as I park in the city and often see bike parts stolen. So instead of a U-lock, I took this one to better secure my bike. At the same time, I wanted to be able to stow it on my bike while commuting to work. This is the perfect lock in that sense and the best in quality. The fabric cover also protects my bike from scratches. What I don't like is that it's…

Pros
  • The best in the niche
Cons
  • I will add later
