Good product at a great price

Excellent product for the money. May stick when cold or not used for a while. It probably needs a little extra lube to help, but it works fine for me. A good option for those of us who can't afford a $200 dropper.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Made for tall people

I'm 5'7" and have a medium sized co-op bike. It looked like a great product but unfortunately I'm not tall enough to use it on my bike. When I posted it it was obvious that unless I was at least 6ft 3in tall it wouldn't work on my bike.

Cons
  • Available in white only

good compromise. Do not buy

I was so tired of having to get off my bike every 10 minutes to raise or lower the seat but couldn't bring myself to pay 200 paying for a pnw pipette message so I thought it was a good compromise and so far I'm very impressed. I'll take it for a while and see how it holds up. Stopped working after a few uses

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

Love the fact that I can raise the seat for longer stretches on trails where I want to stay seated and rest my legs. Getting it where I want it is a little sticky, but if I want the seat out of the way I don't care if it's a little lower than I might want. I sprayed the pin with teflon and it works much better. Compared to the really expensive indoor cable droppers, these are great and much easier to install.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Expensive

Cheap and decent option

When I first bought this post it went up and down very slowly. It took a lot of force to lower it and had to pull it back. I unbolted the bottom when the strut was extended and then dropped the strut, put some grease on the shaft and reassembled it. Works great now. I use this on one of my backup bikes. I recommend this but don't forget to add some lube to the inner parts, it takes 5 minutes. For reference I have 3 other brands including Fox Transfer, Giant Contact and Crank Brothers Kronolog…
