Hammerschlagen! best in my review

Got this for hammerschlagen and it's the perfect size and has held up great over many drunk people hitting nails into a log!

Pros
  • Not the cheapest but good serious hammer
Cons
  • The hammer may produce too much vibration, causing discomfort or injury with frequent use

Great quality hammer

This is a very well-built hammer. Its ergonomics is excellent and very durable indeed. The price is definitely unbeatable. Highly recommend it.

Cons
  • The hammer may not be compatible with certain types of anvil or forging surface

Perfect size and weight

My husband ordered this and this is what he expected. Made well and better than he thought if would look like. That's my feedback!

Pros
  • Good quality in an item hard to find in local stores
Cons
  • The soft grip handle may start to peel or flake off over time

Broke on first use.

I bought this hammer to do light bladesmith finishing. Hammerhead flew off the handle within the first hour. However the manufacture stood by the product and will be sending a replacement without a lot of hassle.

Pros
  • Great hammer
Cons
  • The hammer may produce too loud of a sound when striking metal

Lasted about 2 weeks

I got this in and it seemed sturdy enough. The face was pretty bad but I dressed it and it was ok. I noticed some strange marks when I would strike and checked. The handle head had come lose after a couple of real days of use making it slip on impact. My friend started with a harbord freight handle and as strange as it is to say that held up way better than this one.

Pros
  • Great hammer at a great price ive had mine almost a year of continuous use and still holding up
Cons
  • The hammer may not be durable enough for long-term use

Excellent hammer’s big brother (also excellent)

Great value hammer, well balanced, fit is excellent and finish is better than expected. I haven’t used it in any projects yet, just some practice work and it seems like it will be perfect. The lighter weight version is also of similar quality. Would definitely recommend!

Pros
  • Good and solid. I like it.
Cons
  • Broke almost immediately.in a sheetmetal shop where I hit soft not to make dings to make it worse

Okay for price in my review

The hammer arrived with a gouge in the peen and the head is a little loose. The quality otherwise is acceptable for the price point. The handle has a varnish finish, so if you will need to rid of that if you're to use this constantly.

Pros
  • Good product.
Cons
  • The hammer may not be effective for specific types of forging techniques or projects

Handle came off - my new review

After three strikes the head came right off the hammer. Returned for a new one and the same thing happened. It was not assembled correctly, no glue to hold it together!

Pros
  • ‎Forging Hammer
Cons
  • The cross peen may require frequent resharpening or maintenance

Very weak. This is for light duty work.

This lasted barely over one day at work. The hammer head is fine, but the handle breaks too easy. If you use this for light work, it may work for you. My job involves metal forming which you need a hood quality hammer.

Pros
  • What a great hammer, good balance and weight
Cons
  • The cross peen may require a specific technique or skill to use effectively
