Broken out of the box. That's a great idea, it just doesn't work. The legs holding the jar lid will pop out of alignment when tightened on the lid. Update from 05/13/18. If it still worked it would still be 5 stars. Unfortunately, although I rarely use it, it no longer works. The position of the two can end grippers has shifted and the distance is not the same. They no longer fit the jar and can't get it to grab the smaller lids due to uneven spacing.
