Great shoes for the granddaughter! I read a lot of reviews and as soon as I opened the box I pulled very hard on all the places where there are seams. Any area that has seams is connected very, very tightly. None of these shoes have weak points. These shoes are very well made and ideal for growing feet, do not restrict movement yet protect their feet when out and about, also great for at home or shopping for solo beginners. I used to buy Pediped shoes for my kids because they were wide and soft and allowed the feet to stay in their natural state. Ever since I found these shoes, which are more than half the price, I've been very satisfied. Velcro straps don't sit perfectly where they should but they do the job and I can't complain about anything else as my son won't be wearing them for a few months before he outgrows them. In the photo, the strap appears to be cutting into his skin, but that's not the case at all -
