I don't usually write four star reviews. Either I like something or I don't like it. but I really think it's only a 4 star product. Nice. A large pack of 48 colors is more beautiful. I ordered three packs so I have pearl colors, star colors and gem colors and I already have a set of 48 colors. If I could go back I would probably just order the pearl colors. They are a real pleasure to use. They require lots of water and mixing to activate properly. It took a little fiddling with them to realize that they need to be fully activated to really get the pearly look right on paper. With normal watercolor paints, it is usually sufficient to just moisten the brush and then dip something into the cake. The brush absorbs pigment and you can paint.
