Terrible! Not suitable for RAV4 Sport V6.

After a few months of using this rack I have to say that the ride quality has suffered more. The ride is very soft and unwieldy on choppy trails. Basically, it looks like an overused storage rack that I just removed.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some issues

Companion to 339031 that I bought.

Pulled out the old one, kept the spring (using a spring compressor), everything assembled in 3 hours. Both sides. They fit my 2008 RAV4 Limited with no problems. And at a fraction of the garage price. They have been with me for almost a year without any problems. If they cause me trouble, I will definitely let everyone know.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Little things

lasted less than a year

I have a '08 RAV4 V6 Sport and they've gotten the OEM driving back to where it was. I've been wearing them for over a month now and am enjoying the riding more and more. My first choice would be Bilstein but apparently they don't make them for this particular vehicle. ************* To update! This is not a good investment! They lived less than a year! terrible, I think Blistein only makes them for the back now, or you can order them from the dealer ex works, but not this one! **************

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Performance
Cons
  • Intervals

VERY hard ride and incomplete strut insert

Car drives like a grain truck after installing KYB struts/shocks. Shelf price must include ALL consumables except base plate. I found this out after removing a luggage rack and opening the box, which required a visit to the dealer to get a new boot. Either ask a few euros more for the trunk and include it with the luggage rack, or further reduce the cost of the luggage rack and make it clear that not all wearing parts are included.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great replacement OEM

I bought these to replace my original units on a 2008 Toyota Rav4 with 100,000 miles on it. The originals were removed when I recently bought the car and it caused a lot of handling issues. The new KYB units were the perfect replacement and easy to install. I chose KYB after reading some forums and was happy with my purchase. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they seem a little stiff, but as mine have broken before there is nothing for me to rate that statement accurately…

Good replacement for 2008 RAV4 V6 Limited. Restored handling and low noise.

replacement! Luckily after replacing all 4 gas struts and the two front anti-roll bars on our 2008 RAV4 I didn't have to align the tires. The job took me a full day (10 hours) to swap out all 4 racks. I changed them because our RAV was a bit noisy when reversing or going over small bumps. Even considering that almost 10 years had passed, it was a cheap replacement. I would recommend replacing the rubber boot and gaskets if you can find them. I just reused my old cracked/compressed ones which…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
