Excellent fit as expected

Excellent fit as expected. Make sure you keep the small washer that comes with the kit as you will need it for installation. However, Revain needs to improve its packaging. The box has just been cracked open

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Could have chosen a more recent model

and it made the SUV better with everyone in Alaskan snow and ice conditions.

I got this for my 05 messenger when I had it. I drove about 10,000 miles before passing it and it helped the SUV deal better in Alaska's snow and ice conditions with all the icy ruts and potholes. They seemed better than stocks, but that was probably because I bought a used car. But I liked the quality of this shock.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Not trendy

Fantastic damper for the money

I rode both stock dampers when they were new, HD Bilstein I installed two years ago and now these KYBs and definitely KYBs offer a better ride. They have more damping than the original Bilstein shocks, which dampen significantly less on rebound, but offer a smoother ride than the yellow/blue HD Bilsteins. Maybe not suitable for heavy terrain, but for everyday traffic a great alternative at half the price. I also installed KYB GR-2 Front Stays (331016) at the same time, great ride overall.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • I won't say anything
