KYB recommended OEM replacement shock. Specifically calibrated to help restore the original handling and control characteristics of GM cars. Uses a seamless working cylinder matched with a Teflon coated piston band for a positive seal and longer life. Triple chrome plated piston rod and multi-lip oil seals that reduce wear. Solid seamless mounting eye rings and bolt bushings to eliminate rattles.

The original shock absorber was slightly longer.

I heard hissing noises when I pumped up the shock but it seemed strong and solid. Already installed on the vehicle. Many Thanks

Very important. Well, the car drives better than regular shock absorbers!

I have just re-used the dust cover that originally came with the car as the dust cover was in excellent condition. Perfect fit and no problems installing. Be wary of some other shocks where the top bushing fit may not be exactly the same. The KYB shock is excellent. With KY shock absorbers, the car runs like new.

MUCH BETTER! for parts

I recently replaced my original springs on my 2007 Chevy Aveo with H&R sport lowering springs. The springs are compatible with stock shocks, but I wasn't too impressed with the ride! So I replaced the stock struts with these struts and it's an INCREDIBLE improvement! With the stock shocks and struts, my car bottomed out at times, and at highway speeds I could find my springs working harder than I thought they should. With these, that's no longer a problem!
