Here's What's In The Box

USA shock absorbers, nylon nut, rubber isolator, metal caps and some instructions. Beware, Revane had packaged mine poorly in a large box with a more fragile object dangling in it that miraculously survived.

Pros
  • Specially calibrated to restore your Toyota Sienna to its original handling and ride characteristics
Cons
  • To fit

Use the ramps and forget about removing the wheels. Easy DIY work.

Can't comment on durability as I've just installed them, but I've used KYBs in the past and they have a great reputation. I put my 2004 Sienna on my ramps and was able to change the rear shocks quickly and easily without removing the wheels. YouTube is your friend.

Pros
  • Features a precision sintered iron strut guide to ensure proper wheel alignment.
Cons
  • Expensive

Easy to install and works great

I bought two of these for the back of a 2006 Toyota Sienna. One of the original shocks failed, making the bike bounce hard over bumps. From what I understand these shocks are basically direct OEM replacement parts. Installation on the Sienna was very easy and took about half an hour to complete both. The ride is great, the handling is definitely back where it should be.

Pros
  • Recommended #1 OE replacement for Asian minivans
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Easy to fit, a huge improvement over OEM shock absorbers

It's hard to tell when shock absorbers are worn these days. The old bumper test doesn't really work. I put them on a 2004 Toyota Sienna with about 100,000 miles and noticed an immediate improvement. The van got to the point where the suspension was very soft and springy over bumps. These dampers have streamlined the rear end to make movements more controlled. We used the van to go to Florida with a few boxes and it felt much more manageable on the freeway. It was a simple setup. There was no…

Pros
  • Triple chrome plated piston rod and wear reducing multi-lip seals
Cons
  • Replacement available
