Defective after 2 years

Original mileage has been restored but I only withstood these impacts for 2 years (15,000 miles). It's pretty disappointing, even for our winters and bumps in western New York.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Really improved my ride

These rear shock absorbers were installed on my wife's 2008 large camper for about 6 months and then a pair was installed on my large camper a month ago. Both minivans now have both the front and rear suspension restored to the smooth ride they had when they left the factory.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Exchange Availability

KYB 349073 Bouncy: Shocks

I replaced Sen Sen shocks that had about 40,000 miles on them. I only changed the shock absorbers because I changed the entire suspension on the car, which is pretty cheap and easy. I wasn't impressed with the KYB shocks, they are very springy. Before installing the shocks, I installed the Good Monroe front struts. I wish I could sit in the back with Monroe or Gabriel. The last part of the suspension that I need to replace is the control arm bushings.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

KYB EXCEL-G DISAPPOINTMENT GAS SHOCK ABSORBER

I have a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country Limited minivan. I installed Excel-G rear shock absorbers and also replaced the front struts in August 2020. March 2021 I need to replace my Excel-G dampers, not because of wear but because the damper broke. We don't haul or carry heavy items, very disappointed with KYB products. Do not install these shock absorbers on a vehicle that you intend to keep.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Empty

Needs to be replaced every 20,000 miles

I ordered these rear shock absorbers (along with matching front struts) in August 2013 from my city and country. . After 20,000 km I have to change them again. Most shocks and struts are good for 50,000-60,000 miles, but they were made after 20,000. I saved money on them at first, but it's frustrating to have to replace them again so quickly. I would look elsewhere if you plan on keeping the car they are installed on.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Crumpled package

The van had worn rear shock absorbers from the factory, easy to understand

I had a request to replace the rear shock absorbers on a Dodge Caravan. I saved money by buying the shocks myself and then paying for the installation. These shock absorbers are sold in many workshops. So it was exactly the same result with less payment from me. What offer! Make sure you know what you are doing and the dangers of standing under a raised vehicle. I chose a local repair shop for this part of the installation. You can even check the price before ordering replacement shock…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • The list would go on.
