Excellent Product - Parts

No Complaints. I hoped the rear would raise to match the front, but it didn't. In any case, the old shock absorbers were really bad, but these worked well.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Old

Those are really nice shocks!

These are really good shocks for my 1999 4Runner and they are quite red. I bought a popular brand that only lasted about 3 years. This is the way to go if you have the 4Runner as I read on the Toyota forums.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons

Decent ride: spare parts

Poor welds. Not sure if I trust 2 tons over two welds. Will confirm ride quality but really didn't expect the quality of the product. Only unpacking so far. EDIT: The ride quality is actually good. There are OME 902 shocks and they work well together.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Perfect fit for my 1996 4Runner!

Recommended by the shop where I installed them on my 4Runner, and for good reason - they make the ride so much better! These shock absorbers/struts (both bought from Amazon) are great for driving and handling my 4Runner! I don't ride off road, I just ride everyday so yes they are perfect for what I need! Worth every penny!

  • Free for educational purposes

Good solid ride; OEM ride, look elsewhere

I replaced the worn factory beams on my 00 4runner with these Monomax. I like how they feel, but they are a bit harsh when hitting bumps around town. My wife is complaining about it but there is nothing I can do now. I've had them for about 4 months, 10,000 miles and they seem a bit broken. However, they are still on the hard side. I would also like to add that my 4runner is really quiet on the freeway, less wobble. So if anyone is eyeing these racks I would recommend them if you prefer a…

Great product on 98 4 runners!

Installed (2-1-18) these Mono Max shocks and struts on my '98 4-runner with Moog springs all around. Amazing improvement! No unnecessary rolling or kneeling. The control I have now is superb! And I live in a place that immediately challenged her, in Belize, in Central America. Paved roads can be just as bad here as off-road. They can be very windy, sink and fall out of nowhere. Bumps are used everywhere for traffic regulation. I'm absolutely satisfied with how they handle all road conditions…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Something different

Great city ride, great highway ride. Ease of installation.

great ride. My old shocks were too soft with the big tires. They boosted the ride and made my 4Runner feel faster on the road. If you know a few tricks, these shocks shouldn't be that difficult to assemble. 1) A 14mm deep socket mated to a 3/8 flat ratchet handle loosens the top nuts much easier than the YouTube recommended 14mm flexible ratchet wrench. Climbing around the upper shock body is no joke, there isn't much room to work, but trust me this combo of tools is the answer to removal and…
