🔧 KYB KG5538 Gas-a-Just Gas Shock Absorber Review

These are excellent shock absorbers. I installed them on my 1998 Toyota Tacoma. Great improvement in ride and handling.

I didn't expect much from them considering the cheap price. They feel great paired with the original springs. Responsive and smooth.

They fit my Tacoma 96 2wd. Their website describes them well. They are good in corners but not too stiff for everyday riding.

Needed to replace my badly worn suspension on a '98 Toyota Tacoma RWD. Found these and bought them. I'm new to auto repair and am learning as I go. It was one of the quickest and easiest things I've ever done. The included instructions are not very helpful. I highly recommend getting a Haynes service manual or finding a factory service manual (FSM) online. Otherwise there are plenty of videos online to help if something is confusing. It amuses me that the last time I got a pair of these shock absorbers for my first car was in high school. decades ago. This review is specific to the last pair I just put on my 1995 2WD Tacoma pickup. I think based on my experience these are excellent quality gas charged shock absorbers.
