2 months and already broken

Bought as a present for my husband at the end of January and already broken after 2 months. Better quality and replacement expected.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Minor problems

Broken without much use

The knife was hardly used and broke in the kitchen drawer because it hit another spoon when opening and closing the drawer. Not worth the money. Returns are also not accepted.

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • Can be retrofitted

Too fragile to cut anything but vegetables

Nice knife but useless for my purposes. Bought to cut synthetic rope and the edge completely collapsed on the first cut. Probably great for veggies. I would like to exchange it (and use it for cooking) but couldn't contact the seller.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Nothing

Broke up less than a week after receipt

I have had a plain ceramic white santoku knife made from Kyrocera for many years. Eventually it chipped and then cracked and I had to throw it away but that was after years of use. It's been a great knife for a long time. I was excited to get this knife as it should have lasted even longer, but it mysteriously cracked after just a few days (don't know when that happened). I haven't used it for anything other than slicing boneless chicken and possibly berries. On closer inspection, I also…

  • Weight

  • Poorly thought out

Broken without much use

The knife was hardly used and broke while still in the kitchen drawer because it hit another spoon while opening and closing the drawer. Not worth the money. Returns are also not accepted.

  • Price
Cons
  • Price for a piggy bank

I love this knife in Santoku Knives

I am a cook who cuts a lot. An old wrist injury calls for a handy knife. The Kyocera ceramic knife is both super light and super sharp, my dream knife. I don't need to sharpen it and yet it cuts through the toughest products with ease. I only use my traditional blades for very tough veggies like thick squash. I take good care of my knives and haven't had a single scratch yet. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The best knife you will ever have!

I love to cook. As a wife and mother, I stay at home and spend hours in the kitchen. I have tried all types of kitchen knives and this one won the award. After more than a year of use, it is just as sharp as the first day. The Enrogomic grip fits my hand perfectly (I have a small hand) and doesn't slip off even when wet. Definitely more durable than white ceramic. I really love this knife!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Discontinued model

Awesome Edge, Fragile Blade

Awesome Edge, Fragile Blade. Make sure you are cutting/cutting and not applying excessive force to the blade. For example, if you are trying to cut a piece of frozen spinach and place your non-dominant hand on the blade and apply moderate downward pressure, you can expect the blade piece to remain in the frozen food. So a sharp, hard edge, but one that doesn't tolerate abuse.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Lots of Stuff
