Great Quality Marble Chips for Labs

using this product, our team found that the marble chips were of excellent quality that met our laboratory standards. The calcium carbonate content was accurate and lab grade as advertised. We appreciated the consistency in size and shape of the chips which made our experiments more precise .However, the price may be slightly higher compared to other similar products on the market. Overall, we highly recommend this product for any laboratory looking for reliable marble chips..

Pros
  • Pure and high-quality calcium carbonate
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other sources of calcium

Can be used for a good demonstration Lime Cycle Lab

This is a pretty good calcium carbonate that I used for a demo in the MS lab. It could be set on fire to white heat for 5 minutes, allowed to cool and placed on a watch glass. Dissolve with drops of distilled water, filter into a test tube, bubble CO2 through a straw and watch the solution turn milky. When left to stand overnight a good sediment formed at the bottom indicating the completion of the liming cycle. There are typical Cambridge lab demonstrations that you can search the web for…

Pros
  • Thinner
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
