Better than nothing, but at this price I would do it.

It's okay. They are a little painful to install. I've seen other products that seem much more stable. Better than nothing but for the price I would buy something else next time.

A bit of peace.

I work as a home inspector and walk a lot of rooftops. This device does not prevent your ladder from tipping backwards, but it does make it slide as you go up or down a roof. Small rubber pads are not left.

  • This is amazing

doesn't get hit easily by most drops

Neat design. My problem is that the wing nut is used for tightening. I can't tighten it enough to hold the ladder securely, but when I try I have to use pliers to loosen it. Also, it's not that easy to get under most of the drops. It is mainly used only on gutters.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Protection

Does the job and makes me more confident at work.

This product has made my job much safer as it prevents slipping on the stairs. Issues: Rubber grips fail after moderate use, which shouldn't happen. Device configuration can be improved to prevent parts from coming loose. The stair rail hook is a bit small for my ladder which has slightly wide legs but will probably work well on most extension ladders.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Communication with Seller

Security is better to have than not to have.

Used for the first time and felt completely safe. Maybe play a little, but not much. It will easily secure your ladder in place. There is no longer a moving ladder when exiting a roof. Another thing to keep your calm when it's windy outside. I don't have to worry about my ladder banging through the backyard or front yard into neighboring windows, cars, people, etc. I'm also buying a Lock Jaw ladder grab so I'll be using both.

I will never get on the roof without this tool.

If I had to recommend a product to someone who regularly uses stairs (like I do in my job) I would say it is Ladder Lock. Such a simple design but it offers so much peace of mind when used properly. I never go on the roof without this tool. Whether it's an 8-foot or 18-foot eaves, safety is always a priority. This tool *makes* the climb safer, and for a tool under $40 I'd say it's a steal. How much is your security worth?

Connection lost; not strong

The mother is not firm enough to keep still. When I attached the LadderLock to a solid part of the house where it was secured perfectly, the stair lock kept moving; and when I pushed the ladder, the ladder VERY easily removed the lock from its bracket. In this situation, the rope worked better. I also tried attaching it to the gutter; and the nut assembly was very loose whether I tightened it by hand or with a wrench. I loved this product; and really wanted it to work; and really believed it…

Very strange device - useless to me

Bought this item almost 1 1/2 years ago, probably (tried) to use it 2 or 3 times in the field. I remember when I first got it I couldn't figure out how it actually attached even after watching the video more than once. As a result, I had to ask the manufacturer for help. Everything they told me escaped me as once again I can't figure out how to attach this thing to my ladder without the adjustable wing nut facing inward towards the ladder which is a case that just breaks joints, and certainly…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Nothing here
