Appears to be made of good material. Didn't realize I had to tighten the bolts before use and I lost the nut and washer. There were small scratches on the paint, which caused rust to appear immediately. Otherwise worth the money

I used a piece of plywood for a stand that I attached to the steps but it wasn't strong or secure. This product is great. The step offers more maneuverability and puts a lot less strain on my legs than standing on the steps for hours. It is very durable and easy to install

This platform is very durable and easy to use. I didn't stand by it. I used it to store tools and paint. Good thing I didn't think of that. The two nuts holding the frame together have loosened and one has come loose. If I were to face it, it would be a trip to the ER or worse. Now I check this every time I use the platform and never stand by it.

This is a very stable platform which as an elderly woman I really like. I bought this for my 17ft Little Giant ladder and it works great when the ladder is used as a 'frame'. I obviously didn't think it through enough, I had to climb the ladder at the back and climb over the top to get onto the platform on the side I wanted to work on. I don't see how I can safely use this when the ladder is straight. Maybe someone can explain how to do it safely.

I am deducting two stars because the unit fell apart within the first 2 hours of normal use. I've compared it to a similarly constructed Werner model that I've been using for several weeks. The difference is that Werner's model used lock nuts, which did not loosen. This product uses regular hex nuts, not lock washers. Thus, it is natural that the screw is loosened. Can be used as a storage platform, but I no longer use it as a standing platform. It is too dangerous.

I decided to buy both the Little Giant platform and this fake platform to decide which one to use in the future. I don't want to use "fake" as a derogatory term. I just wanted to know if LG is worth the extra $5. In my photos, the little giant is on the left and the copy on the right. LG says their weight limit is 375# while fake says their weight is 400#; However, LG's construction is much stronger. I gave two stars because you can work around all of the following issues. But there are other platforms that only cost $2 more and solve all of the following problems: - The legs are too long for my ladder (Werner extension ladder) so the platform is not quite level - A hook on the platform itself that grabs the upper step, has a notch that engages the bar, making it difficult for the lower bar to get in and out of the shelf, is not semi-circular and therefore does not provide a secure feeling…
