I gave two stars because you can work around all of the following issues. But there are other platforms that only cost $2 more and solve all of the following problems: - The legs are too long for my ladder (Werner extension ladder) so the platform is not quite level - A hook on the platform itself that grabs the upper step, has a notch that engages the bar, making it difficult for the lower bar to get in and out of the shelf, is not semi-circular and therefore does not provide a secure feeling of connection with that bar. unit because I can probably find a use for this platform, but I bought another one that solves all of the above and I will be using that.
