I thought this would be a good project for me. I have no way of contacting Lavin the seller, this mechanical arm is powered by Arduino board and software so I contacted Robotime who also handles this product. After numerous emails and screenshots, they informed me that there is a wrong chip on the board. It was very frustrating. The accompanying CD was written in 2013. I still can't reach Lavin. The PDF they send has you guessing the steps as the pictures reverse the direction of the parts after they have just been put together. They don't cover the order of connecting to the server at all outside of code. The cable connecting the servo to the claw is too short and will release itself when the lever is fully extended. Also, the high side server tends to stay in rotation, well the servo doesn't know any better and won't stop reaching the angle you told it, this will cause it to overheat

This little robot is fun to build and works well with the Arduino software. My only complaints are similar to others, the plastic of this robot is a bit brittle and the base part I received had a crack, fortunately this didn't affect the construction. The only other issue was that some holes and possibly screws turned out to be missing or the wrong size (either that or the instructions need to be changed). Documentation on DVD is included with the product. Minimal documentation. Nothing is said about which screws to tighten and how tight to tighten them. Eventually, some of the screws will become too tight and become inaccessible without disassembling the entire robot. It happened to me on a servo.
