    Keep wires straight

This replacement part was an exact replica of the part that came with my lamp which is about 10 years old. My advice: Always take a good picture of the correct wiring order before removing the old rotary switch and cables. I had a great photo next to my desk and the replacement part worked like magic except for the same wire colors! Very happy with the result and the price. Saved a lot of money compared to going to the electronics workshop.

1 on, 2 on, 3 on, off! Perfect

Media could not be loaded. What a wonderful store. It was necessary to fix the switch in my grandmother's lamp, one turn - 1 light is on, the second turn - 2 lights are on, the third turn - all 3 lights are on, the fourth turns everything off. This part was actually too big to fit into the 1" shaft and pull the derailleur out of the hole. Couldn't get the detachable handle off, nor could customer service, but they were able to find me part 40402N, which is the 3 /8" vs. 5/8" was which worked…

Robust and sophisticated for industrial switches

I've had this switch for seven months now and its behavior hasn't changed. I have an old floor lamp whose switch has become a bit finicky. You could flick it to a new position and sometimes it had to wiggle a bit to get a solid connection. I replaced the old switch with this new one and it was just as finicky and choppy right out of the box. In addition, due to the small diameter handle, it is stiffer and harder to turn. I had to glue the plastic handle over the brass handle. Works, but no…
