Easy installation, very loud outage in less than 8 months.

Very simple setup, very loud and fun. I got tired of replacing that $30 air horn I had under the hood every year so I jumped out because of that, couldn't be happier. Fits perfectly behind the bars of my Jeep and delivers what I need and what, amazing and loud sound. UPDATE: I put this in my Wrangler, it's only used 6 months a year. This horn is already out of service. Using the instantaneous switch provided by the manufacturer, this gives a very brief "chirp" of less than a second.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Saved my life! Must have for the motorcycle!

An idiot drove through a red light this morning and hit them with that horn when I locked both tires. Thankfully DEAD IN HER TRAILS she stopped and didn't even see me as she nodded her head back and forth looking for a fire truck or an ambulance! I was even able to recover the slide without lowering the bike. However, there was a situation a few months ago where I blew up someone for not giving in when I pulled off the freeway (you know, those weird looking triangular signs that 95% of people…

Good product - not recommended for private ambulances

I bought this item for my personal car which I use to answer emergency calls. Sirens are not legal in my state, but horns are legal. I thought this product would help draw attention when approaching and driving past an intersection. That was my hope. The SoundAlert SAAH75 SASP03 has solid hardware. The speaker is solid and heavy and easily mounts under the hood. I used another switch that fits my car better. The horn amplifier is durable, as is the wiring. Why only 3 stars? The horn just isn't…

5 star product on parts

First of all for the money it is definitely worth EVERY penny and exceeded my expectations. However, before you even think about installing this, spend at least a day planning where to install it and make sure you have tape, extra wire, zip ties, and anything else you need there you will probably need it . I have a 2015 Jeep and the only space I had was physically in the dead space of my bumper. After removing the entire front panel and installing the speaker, it was time for the wiring, which…

Great speaker/amplifier. Terrible symmetry

Very loud and beautifully deep tone that sounds very formal. I like the sound compared to many other brands of electronic horns and am very satisfied now after hearing it in person. It absolutely gets people's attention, which my standard car horns couldn't. However, quitting was a nightmare for a person with OCD. The bracket that came with it is bent the wrong way and had to be modified significantly to get the speaker to sit straight in the grille. The holes drilled in both the speaker and…

The power is worth the price

I bought one of these despite other people reviewing the quietness so I tested this unit as soon as it went on sale. Mine is pretty loud; definitely louder than the stock horn on my F150. It's not as loud as the 'professional' LE siren/horn you might find in a police car or fire engine, but then these units cost several times that and can also have 200W instead of 100W models. Anyway, this one was loud enough that the neighborhood kids started sniffing around trying to figure out where the loud

Good electronic horn

I ordered these to replace the horn on my Dodge truck. It still worked but only had 1 horn and sounded pretty weak. I decided to buy it because the sound of the electronic horn catches people's attention. I was looking at a similar product from whelen but would cost between $200-$250. Installation was easy, I used the included switch to use the horn button on the steering wheel and kept the option to use my old horn. I brought a grey, powerful Lamphus horn and installed it behind the bars of my
