Great gift idea for yourself or someone else!

Bought for my grandson for his 10th birthday. As he is an aspiring artist I thought this would be the perfect gift for him! He loves it and after a few months his drawings have really improved. I attribute the improvement to the fact that he uses this art kit regularly because he loves it. Great set, I am very happy with my purchase!

Better than I thought they would be!

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! To be honest, I only bought it because of the case itself. I need something for current projects and it seemed promising. What I didn't expect was how good Royal pencils are! Good pigment, soft leads - only complaint is that they crumble a bit. Graphite is good too - smooth and soft (doesn't crumble). And who doesn't need extra strokes or erasers? It is DEFINITELY worth the price! ETA: Photo of how I like to use this case. I took her stash and used

The crayons themselves are of lower quality than Crayola - they don't mix at all

The case gets 4 stars and that's why I got this thing in the first place - just fits a 9x12 Notepad inside, some coloring books, some pencil sharpeners (yes I use 3-4 different types of sharpeners) and some slots for graphite pencils, white pencils and mixed pencils. The crayons themselves are of lower quality than Crayola - they don't blend at all, but the biggest problem is that the cores are broken in the wooden box and they don't center very well.
