Worn out after drilling 19 " in concrete

I used a 100mm concrete hole saw with an SDS impact drill bit to drill holes in 4" thick concrete blocks. By the time I was halfway through the fifth hole, the tips were blunt and he wouldn't move forward. At $1.50 an inch of material this allows me to drill a hole, it's not worth the money.

Pros
  • Power tool parts and accessories
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

It works just great

I bought a 4 1/8" hole saw to cut holes for 4" flush mount LED lights. Worked great! Today I cut 13 holes and no signs of dullness are visible. The tiered slots on the side are thoughtful as they provide a handy grip to insert a screwdriver to pry out the scrap. It also allows you to look inward to align the pilot drill. I have no criticism and nothing but praise. I've used it on plywood, but it will probably work just as well on drywall.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • High Price
