The hard surface is something like a thin chipboard with a wood grain that is very prone to oily fingerprints. The pillow below has a nice design (grey diamonds) but it's filled with tiny noisy styrofoam beads that aren't very comfortable. random slot top right, especially since the laptop hides most/all of the phone from view for most people using it for a laptop. It's just a waste of land. Should be $15 for what it is.

Perfect! good for office and school

Great overall. Exactly what I was looking for. I like that there is a ledge at the bottom to keep things (like pens) from sliding off. It's not too big, but fits perfectly on my Chromebook as well as my HP work laptop (17"). The table top is easy to clean with a damp cloth. The bottom is filled with small styrofoam balls - they are small and take the shape of knees /Legs on as you would expect They don't keep my feet warm enough to hold a table on for long I just want them to be solid color The

The car office is ready!

I bought this laptop for my car because I often work outside the office. I mainly use it for note-taking, calendaring, writing, etc. during calls and between stops. (I'm a journalist.) The product is great and well made. The cushioning is firm and perfectly plump. I love that I can put my iPhone in the top right phone slot. Sometimes in the evening I would go to my car to pick it up for work on my couch because I love this table so much. The weight suits my taste. I was very surprised how much…

Perfect fit for 14 inch laptop

This laptop is perfect for my needs. My 14 inch laptop fits on the platform leaving about two inches of platform on each side. There is a slot to lean the phone against the laptop. It fits most phones but I'm not sure if it will fit new phablets. There is a raised section on the front to keep your laptop from sliding off the front of the platform, but my laptop still has rubber feet and I had no issues with slipping. a pliable pillow filled with something like microballoons. It rests on your…

Does the job at the right price

I've had a different style of this for years but with new laptops I needed new ones. After searching all over the internet for a good lap table I went back to these (in gray diamonds) got two and they are almost perfect for 15.6 inch laptops. There's not really much room for a mouse, and the mobile device slot isn't very handy when the laptop is present, but it's a multi-purpose desktop table and I could see the slot and strap on the top left are might be more useful if the table has been used…

Unsuitable for styling

While nothing is inherently flawed, it just didn't work for what I needed. I have an illness and its treatment can include days of lying on my back waiting for my body to heal. During this time, I often write, create art, read, or maintain a social media account through my iPad. Mixing a tablet with my phone and different remote controls isn't easy, so I was hoping that a tablet like this would solve my problem, but that wasn't exactly the case. First, it's very flat, which is good when you're…

I am impressed! Best of Lap Tables

I had a ten year old Belkin desktop that finally started breaking a few months ago. Center cut-out to keep pens, notepads and books within easy reach. It was very uncomfortable to look at but was so useful that I kept it until the styrofoam started to crumble in my hands. I was very disappointed when I started researching options and found that lap tables had moved away from lightweight, super-hard foam. Belkin used. I wasn't sure about this table but decided to give it a try since it had so…

Excellent (with flaws)

Bought 2 years ago, I like it, but there are problems. First, the foam beads begin to crumble, making it seem like the "soft" bottom of more than half the filling just disappeared, making it almost useless. So now I have to find the right styrofoam balls to refill it. I need access to the pearls; pulled out a plastic slot, underneath is a thin fabric. Styrofoam beads like those used for beanbags should work if they are microbeads; View of styrofoam balls. Styrofoam balls are usually over 90…
