Works well with audio and video accessories

I used this to connect a Retron 3 retro games console that only had S-Video and RCA to an old monitor with VGA and DVI. . I had no problems. Definitely worth the price.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Not bad but...

OSD menu Chinese (it seems)

I wanted to record a video and connect it to a computer monitor. I couldn't get it to work. Since I couldn't understand the information on the screen, that was part of the problem. Video output was from an 8mm Wolverine to a digital film camera.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Vulgarity

It just works! Easy setting.

We received this to connect a security camera to a VGA monitor that we already had. I connected everything and it worked following simple instructions (the buttons on the device are clear and easy to understand). And we have a clear picture! Good machine so far. No flicker, no problem. 24x7

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Negative gift

Great price and works great.

Perfect for the price to get my Commodore 64 working again Of course there are more expensive ones, but for a cost calculator that helped! . This is for NTSC users only. I don't know if this works for PAL users. I wish the power cord was longer and a little thicker than the case, but for the price I'm not complaining.

Pros
  • Hands-free calling
Cons
  • With problems

Compact and Well Built

This works exactly how I need it. My monitor only had VGA inputs and had to add a Wii with an RCA output and it works fine. There is a select button to toggle between inputs. The picture quality is amazing. I have a PC and two gaming systems running my arcade and this has detached my monitor connections. Very easy to set up and run. The kit includes 1 power supply and a block.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Big and chunky

New life for an old friend!

This video converter worked great right out of the box. Not a fancy attitude. Just plug it in and turn it on. Ahhh, just like before. As you can see my old Commodore 64 friend likes it too! The price is correct! Should work with any old consoles or 8-bit computers of the day. Whether you have a composite output like the Commodore 64 or S-Video from the newer Nintendo it should work just fine. I like!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • weak

Not bad, but not great, and the cost won't totally break the bank

There aren't many instructions, but if you're at least a little familiar with the lyrics, you'll understand what you're getting really need to know based on the general scheme. I've used some retro gaming systems on a PC monitor with this picture quality, everything is fine, the screen quality is so-so. I love how it comes with extra cables for both types, it kicked me out of the menu which I think is Mandarin but if you hold down that button you will. The first menu type without a numberโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Not suitable for Commodore 64 conversion.

I bought this because it was claimed it would allow the user to connect old composite devices (Commodore, Atari and other game consoles) to modern LCD screens . I finally get an image, but it's very grainy, monochromatic. I finally found that the Viewsonic N4, while not perfect, at least gives me color. The N4 is no longer made, but there are other devices that should work for other needs.

Pros
  • Supports PAL/NTSC
Cons

Satisfied despite some problems.

Just tried this converter with my Commodore 64C, MSSIAH MIDI cartridge and Retro Computer Shack A/V cable. Overall I am satisfied. There is an unfortunate color bar at the top of the blue menu screen, but the software is still usable with a modern computer monitor. The strange bar does not appear on the black screen background for musical instruments. Connecting with a composite cable produces a blurry image, but I was pleased to find that using the SVideo cable produces a very clear imageโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Out: Vga, In: Vga, S-Video, Video
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Not bad, but not great, and the cost doesn't completely break the bank.

There aren't many instructions, but if you read the texts a little, the general outline will give you a sense of what you really need to know. I've used some retro gaming systems on a PC monitor with this picture quality, everything is fine, the screen quality is so-so. I love how it comes with extra cables for both types, it kicked me out of the menu which I think is Mandarin but if you hold down that button you will. The first menu type without a number requires you to change the language.

Pros
  • Used in DVR background monitors, video education equipment, subway and industrial to replace traditional CRT monitors.
