This review is for the large size. I was disappointed in this pad – it doesn't look or feel like leather at all. It doesn't have the leather texture shown on one of the photos, and is perfectly smooth. It is also extremely stiff, which I suppose might be a benefit to some, but not to me. All in all, I think it's way overpriced for what feels like a piece of plastic with a felt backing. We bought these for our conference room table. There are very nice, but just a tad too soft to be able to write on without fear of poking through the paper. I wish they had a harder writing surface.

I like the soft feel and good look. Just wipe it with a warm damp cloth to clean any marks. I am happy with it. May not be suitable for individuals who are allergic to certain chemicals used in the production process.

Would have preferred larger size. However this works! Lays 'flat' at once. Arrived in great shape. Ordered two more, now if they arrive in great shape I'll be a most satisfied customer.

Very happy with this product. It is a little smaller then the regular pad and fits perfectly in my space. The surface is smooth and soft, which I prefer since my touch with a pen is on the lither side. I would not recommend it if you are applying strong pressure while writing or drawing you may poke through the paper.

Overall, I'm happy with this product. I am using it for writing letters and journaling and the small size is perfect for my desk. One thing is that I was so careful taking it out of the packaging it was in, and there was about a 2 inch scratch on it. Not super noticeable unless my desk lamp is on. Not sure if this is just the way the product is, but would have preferred the product without the scratch! Anyway, still happy.

Finally a quality desk blotter. This item is rigid it cannot be rolled. It has a quality nonslip underside and the surface is a nice leather texture. The thickness is enough for a soft feel. I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a quality desk blotter that has a nice black look to it

I bought this to have a smooth surface to write on. It looks good, feels nice, but sucks as a blotter. Because of the (faux?) leather pattern, writing with anything that has a sharper point than a marker will cause you issues. I guess it's a case of getting what you paid for, but I'm still using a legal pad as a backer to write on because this simply doesn't cut it for even ballpoint pens, let alone the 0.5mm pens I like to use.

This is nice and soft and lightweight, very comfortable. As a mousepad or armrest, it seems like it would be perfect. As a desk liner to write on, it might be a touch difficult, since it's just a tiny bit too soft for that. A marker would work great, but I tried a pencil and ballpoint pen, and while they didn't rip the paper, they weren't really comfortable writing with.Watch the measurements, because the small size really is small, not enough to cover the working area of a desk - but it works…

This blotter is exactly what I’d hoped it would be. It was delivered carefully packed so it was flat. It had no odor and I put it to use immediately. It doesn’t move at all on my smooth finished wood desk. It feels soft to the touch but not so soft that I cannot write on a single sheet of paper on top of it. I like it so well I just ordered smaller size for writing desk.

Really feels well made for a desk pad. I have two to use as soft landings underneath my laptop and my keys/wallet/etc. That's my feedback!

This desk blotter is perfect. It is wide enough for my laptop, mouse, and a notepad. It has a nice leather grain, which doesn't detract from or cheapen the look of my office furniture. The backing is a velvety material. Some reviews said it slips, but I've had mine for over a week now with daily use and it hasn't slipped at all. I looked at a lot of blotters and am really glad I chose this one. I rarely give a five star rating, but there isn't a single complaint for this product.

Tried another desk pad that was cheaper and that was a big mistake. When writing, the pen would go through the paper. This pad is perfect. Solid, beautiful, and comfortable to lean and write on. Mouse easily glides over the pad.

The desk mat arrived flat so I did not have to unroll it and flatten it out. The material seems first rate and the non slip surface on the back actually is non slip. I use this on a glass desk on which I had problems with an optical mouse because of the glass. It is very good material, looks first class and has made an instant improvement to my home office desk. I love these soft leathery desk protectors. I wish there were more sizes offered. I haven’t had any need to clean or owned them long enough to test durability so it didn’t get 5 stars, but near perfect product and would absolutely recommend and by more, if they had more sizes.
